I am yet another needle in the hay, dust in the windor an  adventure seeker on an empty street (I know my profile picture adds up to the theme).

Other than that, I am a postdoctoral research associate working at the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) of the University of Surrey, specialising in anomaly detection, as of April 2013 onwards.

Previously in academia, I was awarded with a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering topped up with a Minor's degree in Mathematics by Sabancı University in 2007. Later on in 2008, I was made a Master of Science by the Electronic Engineering Department of the University of Surrey within its Signal Processing and Machine Intelligence program. To form up the (yet) last link in this chain of madness, I was honoured with a PhD. by Surrey in 2014 as a result of my studies on ensemble classification; further details for which can be found here

As for go-get-a-life, I can say I am in strong love with music, photography and sports; in love with being a couch potato; in borderline relationship with dance, arts and politics; weak hate with being exposed to cloudy weather for more than a week; and finally, strong hate with not-so-humble people.

While we live according to race, colour or creed
While we rule by blind madness and pure greed
Our lives dictated by tradition, superstition, false religion
Through the eons, and on and on
Oh yes we'll keep on tryin'
We'll tread that fine line
Oh we'll keep on tryin'
Till the end of time
