From April 2013 onwards, I have been working with Prof. Josef Kittler as a research associate at the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) in the University of Surrey, specializing in anomaly detection. Check this out if you would like to find more about it. 

Throughout my Master's and PhD., I had mainly worked under the supervisions of ​Dr. Terry Windeatt​ and Prof. Josef Kittler at the University of Surrey. During my PhD., I had also carried out some collaborative research with Dr. Berrin Yanıkoğlu, Prof. Ethem Alpaydın and Dr. Oriol Pujol at Sabancı University ​/ Turkey, Boğaziçi University / Turkey and the ​​University of Barcelona ​/ Spain ​respectively. 

My research interests on ensemble classification have been concentrated specifically on bias and variance analysis of ensembles, novel pruning methods applied to Error Correcting Output Coding (ECOC) and bagging ensemble frameworks; and suboptimal encoding strategies developed for ECOC.


In addition to research, I have also fulfilled teaching assistantship and lab demonstration duties for several undergraduate and postgraduate level courses.  I will be happy to share my CV upon request.
